If you are noticing the following happening to your home and roof, you could be facing the prospect of a leaky roof. Keep an eye out for the following:

Water Spots:

If you start to notice large water stains in your ceilings or outside on your roof, that means that there is a leak in your house and water has already started flowing through. At this point you should be looking to call in the professionals to fix the problem.

Algae and Mold:

Large spots of algae and mold forming in and outside your house is a clear sign that a leak has been sprung.

Damage to your shingles:

Shingles is the term used for the tile panels that form your roof. You should always keep an eye on them, as their status can give a clear sign if your roof is leaking. If you notice that the shingles on your roof are broken, cracked, buckling, curling or completely missing, it could mean that a leak is well on its way. Or already happened.

Granule loss:

Granule is the minerals that make up the external look of the roof. If it begins to fade and disappear that means that it’s losing its strength and you could possibly be facing a roof leak.
